Nic Shoffner
Nic’s foundation in firearms safety began at age thirteen, providing logistical and demonstrative support for Missouri Hunter Education courses. By 2001, he had earned his certification to teach the program, marking the start of a career dedicated to professional instruction. When Missouri’s concealed carry laws went into effect in 2004, Nic transitioned into CCW training, earning his NRA Pistol certification shortly after.
Driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, Nic expanded his expertise in 2008 to include NRA Personal Protection (In and Outside the Home) and Range Safety Officer certifications. In 2010, he reached a significant milestone by becoming an NRA Training Counselor and has since added a number of NRA ratings.
With over 300 hours of specialized training and thousands of hours spent on the range and in the classroom, Nic has been instrumental in the development of Armed Missouri, Inc. coursework and the National Association of Professional Shooting Instructors. Beyond his technical expertise, Nic is deeply committed to community safety; he has served on his church’s safety team since 2018, including five years as Campus Director. Today, he balances his roles as an instructor, curriculum developer, and manager of digital operations, ensuring that every student receives training rooted in safety, ethics, and high-level skill.
